The new Adult Sunday School classes have started. These classes are provided to help further equip the body of believers to do the work of ministry and grow in faith. All are highly encouraged to attend and grow in God’s Word. The classes being offered are:
Attributes of God (Instructor: Pastor Patrick Cho) – This class is designed to help the student of the Word come to a better understanding of the God of the Word. Topics covered will include the holiness of God, the omniscience of God, the immutability of God, and the grace of God. We will not only examine what the Scriptures say concerning these important issues, but we will also look at and critique some alternative views. Of course, we will also explore how gaining a wider knowledge of God applies to our personal lives.
Introduction to Presuppositional Apologetics (Instructor: Stephen Rodgers): This class is designed to introduce you to apologetics in general, presuppositional apologetics in particular, and the Biblical doctrines that you are to hold and defend as a Christian. No previous experience is required or expected. This is truly an introductory class. Topics include definition of apologetics and what God says about it, the role and existence of God, the nature of man and sin, Christ, the non-Christian point of view, attitudes, and actions, and tactics and methodology. There will be two very short books required for this class: Every Thought Captive by Richard Pratt and Is Christianity Good for the World? by Douglas Wilson and Christopher Hitchens (this is available for free online).
Fundaments of the Faith (Instructor: Peter Lim) - This class covers the basics of the Christian faith. Those who attend will learn what Lightouse teachers concerning the core doctrines of the Bible. Remember that this class is mandatory for all members and provides a great study for discipleship.
Marriage Table Talk (Instructor: John Kim) - THIS CLASS BEGINS ON MARCH 7. For all those who are married, this class is intended to evaluate your marriage and follow up on the material assigned in premarital classes.
