This is absolutely one of the most practical themes in Scripture given our propensity to quarrel and fight with one another. It will be a challenging theme loaded with good practical application. GraceLife Fellowship (Instructor: Patrick Cho; Room 104): GraceLife is our family ministry and is geared towards encouraging growth in our married couples and parents. Homeless Ministry. There is a great ministry opportunity available to you every other Sunday! Twice a month, a group goes out to Pacific Beach Presbyterian Church to help feed the homeless and needy. The ministry generally runs from 3:00-6:00pm; the first half is spent preparing the food and the second half is spent serving food and cleaning the kitchen. Contact Joyce Kang for more information on how to get involved with this ministry (joycekang84@gmail.com).
Cleaning Ministry. The cleaning ministry is currently looking for more servants to help tidy up the church on the weekends. This is an invaluable ministry to the church. Talk to Andy Shin if you are interested in joining the crew.
Argentina Missions Trip. This year’s Argentina Missions trip is tentatively scheduled for July 6-21. Each year we go to Tucuman, to work alongside Iglesia Biblica Misionera (Missionary Bible Church) for a weeklong evangelistic campaign. We will also be providing biblical training and teaching for the church in general and specialized meetings. Whether or not you will be going to Argentina this summer, please prayerfully consider how you can help support the work we are doing down there.
Czech Missions Trip. The dates for this year’s Czech missions trip are June 26 to July 16. We will be teaming up once again with Meinolf Mellwig and the church in Ostrava to conduct a weeklong English camp and to share the gospel with the Czech people. This year, Lighthouse San Jose will be coordinating this trip.
Sister Connection. Signups for Sister Connection will be taken for the month of May until the end of the school year. College Life sisters will either be paired up with a Single Life or Grace Life sister. Homeless Ministry. There is a great ministry opportunity available to you every other Sunday! Twice a month, a group goes out to Pacific Beach Presbyterian Church to help feed the homeless and needy. The ministry generally runs from 3:00-6:00pm; the first half is spent preparing the food and the second half is spent serving food and cleaning the kitchen. Argentina Missions Trip. This year’s Argentina Missions trip is tentatively scheduled for July 6-21. Each year we go to Tucuman, to work alongside Iglesia Biblica Misionera (Missionary Bible Church) for a weeklong evangelistic campaign. We will also be providing biblical training and teaching for the church in general and specialized meetings. For those who are interested in applying for the Argentina trip, applications will be available this Sunday, April 3 (due April 17). All applicants must have been members of Lighthouse in good standing for at least one year. You must also have a valid US passport that is good through at least November 2011. Whether or not you will be going to Argentina this summer, please prayerfully consider how you can help support the work we are doing down there.
Czech Missions Trip. Applications are now available for this summer’s Czech Republic missions trip (due April 17). The dates for the trip are June 26 to July 16 (part of the time will be spent in San Jose). We will be teaming up once again with Meinolf Mellwig and the church in Ostrava to conduct a weeklong English camp. For those who are interested in applying for the Czech trip, please contact Pastor John Kim at LBC San Jose (pastorjohnkimlbc@gmail.com). Lighthouse San Jose will be coordinating this trip. All applicants must have been members of Lighthouse in good standing for at least one year.

Argentina Missions Trip. This year’s Argentina Missions trip is tentatively scheduled for July 6-21. Each year we go to Tucuman, to work alongside Iglesia Biblica Misionera (Missionary Bible Church) for a weeklong evangelistic campaign. We will also be providing biblical training and teaching for the church in general and specialized meetings. For those who are interested in applying for the Argentina trip, applications will be available this Sunday, April 3 (due April 17). All applicants must have been members of Lighthouse in good standing for at least one year. You must also have a valid US passport that is good through at least November 2011. Whether or not you will be going to Argentina this summer, please prayerfully consider how you can help support the work we are doing down there.
PRAYER REQUESTS
- Please pray for our brothers Erick Min and Alex Lim, who are currently deployed in Afghanistan. Pray for their safety and spiritual growth. Pray also that they would be faithful ambassadors of Christ while they complete their military service.
- Please pray for our expecting parents, Mike and Jennifer Hasegawa!
- Please pray for Kent and Romi Hong as they are currently in the process of adopting a child and are anticipating the arrival of a boy! Please pray for God’s wisdom and help through this process and for wisdom to be godly parents.
- Pray for our engaged couples: Joshua Wong and Liz Lee (7/16/2011), Matt Zhang and Samantha SooHoo (5/28/2011), Brian Chang and Katrina Lin (5/12/2012), Stephen Rodgers and Hanka Tomášková, Roger Alcaraz and Grace Mao Wu, Ted Su and Becky Areekul, and John Yang and Melody Yu!
- Pray for our dating and engaged couples that they might preserve their purity and have relationships that glorify God.
- Pray for Lighthouse Bible Church San Jose (Pastor John and Angela Kim, and Pastor J. R. and Kathy Cuevas) as they work to shine the light in Northern California.
- Pray for the church in Ostrava, Czech Republic (Meinolf and Martina Mellwig) that they would persevere in spreading the good news and equipping the saints.
- Pray for Iglesia Biblica Misionera in Tucuman, Argentina (Pastor Jorge and Norma Ahualle), as well as Church Planting Ministries (Eduardo and Gloria Buldain) as they work to reach the unsaved in Argentina.
- Pray for our leaders that they would gain wisdom to lead and humbly serve God through their responsibilities at the church. Pray that our pastor would continually faithfully preach the Word of God.
- Please pray for Roger Alcaraz and Ryan Short as they commute each week up to The Master’s Seminary for school in preparation for full-time ministry.
- Pray for the college ministry as the students continue their studies. Pray that they would be diligent to maintain spiritual disciplines and growth, and that they would represent Christ on-campus.
- Pray for the single adults ministry that they would continue to shine the light of Christ in the workplace and make the most of every opportunity to represent Christ.
- Pray for the LBC GraceLife family ministry. Pray that God would build strong spiritual marriages and use our parents to raise up the next generation in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- Pray for the youth and children. Pray that their lives would be guided by the principles of God’s Word and that they would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
